Simon Ndira, PhD, MPH

Simon Ndira holds a degree in Organization and Information Management from Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences, a PhD in Medical Informatics from Heidelberg University, and a Master’s in Public Health from the London School of Health and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) with over twenty years of work experience in the field of management, management information systems, enterprise risk services, information risk management and digital health. Simon has worked in the digital health space since 2004, with experience spanning research, project implementation, and technical advisory services.

In Malawi, Simon has worked as a Senior Digital Health Advisor to MOH since 2015 with different organizations, first with EPOS Health Management GmbH (2015-16), then with GIZ (2017-2020). Simon is currently the Country Director of Cooper/Smith, the CEO and Founder of Compelling Works, and a Senior Technical Advisor to the Blantyre Prevention Strategy (BPS) Program, overseeing the implementation of data-related components of the program, including the data pipeline, the PALMS, and special studies; and ensuring the alignment of these to other program components and key interventions by other actors in BPS along the HIV prevention cascade of targeting, demand, creation, service delivery, and sustained use.
