CIGH’s Deputy Director collaborates with MOSAIC and Pharos Global Health Advisors


Sara Allinder recently joined MOSAIC’s Product Access Advisory Committee (PAAC), an external, neutral committee that provides strategic, expert guidance to MOSAIC’s leadership and core management teams regarding developments in the HIV prevention market. Maximizing Options to Advance Informed Choice for HIV Prevention (MOSAIC) is a five-year (2021-2026) global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to help women prevent HIV by accelerating introduction and scale-up of new and emerging biomedical prevention products.

Sara also serves as an expert advisor to Pharos Global Health Advisors and authored country case studies included in a 2022 evaluation conducted for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis (GF) focused on the 2020 cohort of $1 billion in grants (COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) plus flexibilities) and a 2021 thematic review of pandemic preparedness and response (PPR) and the GF’s place in the future PPR universe, especially in supporting lower middle income countries while contributing to a stronger regional and global PPR system.
